Don't waste your money. You can see anything, everything is blurry no matter how much you try to focus it. I've used microscopes my whole life and this is a waste of money. My daughter is very disappointed

My seven-year-old nephew really loves this item and is learning much from using it.

Is that a doll's hand on the microscope on the box? Yes, it is. And not even a faintly realistic doll's hand. Probably because this microscope is made for dolls, not humans. The upper battery compartment is nearly impossible to open. Then, the upper light switch doesn't work. It flickers and won't turn off when switched. The items on the slides won't show up no matter how you adjust the magnification. I just about went blind trying to see anything, even the words on the slides. No way a child is going to have the patience, even if there was a chance of success. Alas, there is not.I guarantee anyone giving this a positive review never tried using it. It does not work. Save your hard earned dollars and look elsewhere!

My little one loves to inspect everything so this is great for our walks outside. It's not too heavy or sophisticated that a younger child can't use it.

This is a pretty neat little microscope. It comes with prepared slides or you can make your own. Personally, I think three years old is a bit young to start (I'm thinking four would be better). I'm including photos of the instruction manual to help. With the right parental help, this microscope could be the beginning of your child's future career. The price is great too!

We got this for a science experiment day over the winter break and were left disappointed. The slides are great and can be used with other microscope just fine so absolutely love them for my classic microscope. The phone attachment is less than productive and using an iphone, a samsung and a blu phone none got a clear picture and the focus was impossible. With out the camera in use we tried looking through it and though it came right out o the box the lens were rather dusty and the dust appeared to be within the scope. The Battery compartment on the base was simple enough with the included screwdriver however the slide off part on the scope it self was a battle to get open. This looks cool as a desk or shelf decor and the slides are great but rather useless as an actual microscope in my opino and not user friendly to open.

If you have a young science enthusiast at home or perhaps you are home schooling and looking for a straightforward yet effective tool for teaching science. If so, you might want to avoid this pocket microscope by BABY HOME.It is poorly made, tiresome to set up and even install the batteries, and confounding to use.The notion of a low cost portable microscope for young people is a noble and thoughtful one. Unfortunately, the execution of the idea has yielded this lousy product that is best passed by in favor of something much better made and easier to use.
