This backup is super cute, soft, and well made, but you should size up. I got a small based on the chest and neck measurements, but it’s small on my yorkie. It still works, but it’s smaller than ideal. When I ordered it, the description did not include weight. Now it does, so that’s good. My yorkie is (almost) 10 lbs and medium would have been a better choice. That said, the product itself is great just order the right size. Don’t get small for a 8+ lb dog. Go with medium.
