Usage Scenarios
Warm Tips:
1. Keep the pipeline as clean as possible before installation.
2. When installing the solenoid valve, be sure to wrap the appropriate raw material tape around the pipe threads and adjust the position of the solenoid valve.
3. Pay attention to the insulation of the circuit.
4. Please install the direction of the solenoid valve according to the direction of water flow.
5.Note that your solenoid valve is a VITON gasket, NBR gasket, or other type. NBR gaskets are not intended for use with gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive liquid products. If your valve needs to be used for these, you can purchase a valve with a VITON gasket from BACOENG.

it’s very hot if you keep power on around 10minutes. I think it will burn if it run around 30minutes.

TL:DR: bought it and learned this is for momentary closing. Not long term. For longer operation times, get a non-solenoid ball valve type. The rest of the story: This thing gets _dangerous_ hot in just a few minutes. Wanted the ability to cut off the water to the house quicker than the 100' zig-zag crawlspace adventure. For short term operation - a minute or two, it's probably a 5 star item. But since the description doesn't make this issue clear and may mean people would use this SUPER HOT piece of plastic under their house unsupervised for hours/days/weeks... I give it 2 stars and just hope that other people read this review and stay safe. I use this in conjunction with Smart Things water sensors and a Wemo switch. Now if there is a water leak, I can turn off the water no matter where I am. It does run super hot so wouldn't want to rely on it beyond several hours, but for my purposes, it's great!
