I installed a Bafang motor and speed sensor on my bike about 3 years ago and have put many miles on it. The sensor has never failed. I have kicked it with my foot several times mounting the bike and it keeps working. I ordered this one for a replacement because I am in the process of moving the motor and sensor to a new bike I just purchased and while trying to remove the old sensor, I broke the mount on it. If this one works as well as the last one, which are identical, I will be overjoyed.

These sensors are not vital to the performance of a Bafang mid-drive, but it is vital for quality of life if you plan on using the bike computer functions. I find they get knocked around every time I dismount/remount my rear wheel, so it's worth having a backup for the day when that knocking is too much.This one comes with the better kind of magnetic sensor. They're a little more work to attach than the sort that are in a plastic clamshell that snaps closed, but the attachment is firmer (especially with a drop of loc-tite) and they're more removable/transferable.The electrical side comes with an adhesive pad for attachment to your chainstay, but you're going to want cable ties.

Pins are not even close to being in line with female end. Should be spaced evenly.
