This pump delivers a strong air output compared to its small size. I don't love how fiddly the cable can be when it comes to charging/recharging, but that minor gripe is outweighed by the positives; I love the flexibility that comes with a waterproof aerator that's rechargeable and truly portable. (Power loss at home from storms? Check! Fishing from a kayak or boat? Check! Transporting aquarium fish? Check!)

This works perfectly for me. I have used aerators before for small outdoor ponds and compost/manure tea for my garden, and haven’t had the best of luck. The solar versions just don’t do enough, and I haven’t had any luck with the plug-in ones so far, and the price point tends to be to high for something that doesn’t work as intended. This one is perfect for making compost/manure tea as it runs out of charge about the time I go to start using the ‘tea.’ I wish it came with a tee attachment so you could hook both lines into one air stone. I like the additional power out of one stone vs two separate stones for my particular use, adds a bit more air from one location, and helps move things around a bit more. Luckily, I had a spare from an old kit on hand, but it seems like a thing they should include; but that’s not enough of a reason to rate it lower, cause it's not like it's included in the listing.

If you fish, especially around salt water and use a bubbler for small bait like shrimp, shiners, etc.....you know how quickly bubblers break down. Very few are waterproof and the mix of salt waters and D batteries always causes corrosion and issues. So I'm excited to see what a sealed, "waterproof" and rechargeable bubbler can do.I got the 3000 and didn't really realize it's a dual tube. Not a bad thing, but I WISH it came with a little plastic Y splitter for the tube. Because it comes with 10ft of tube that you cut down yourself for the two outputs. But if your cooler or bucker only has one hose hole....one line is being wasted. Would be a nice, easy option to covert this to a single tube with a Y splitter and use it both ways....dual and single tube. The charger is proprietary. It's a magnetic contact charger. Not super excited about that honestly. Plenty of devices are waterproof and still have USB-C charging ports. This is a very cheap little cord and if you lose it, break it or just don't have it with you....you're out of luck. Having a more standardized charger would be an absolute 5 star feature and then reason I have to get it 4.As far as size, it's about the same as other bubblers (the 3000 is slightly thicker than D-cell bubblers) but it's not as heavy as a bubbler with 2 D batteries. Which is good when you're carrying that bait bucket a distance. I like that that it has multiple settings, to conserve battery power. Clip on the back is fine. It also comes with little rubber "feet" to keep it from moving on a flat surface. I'm thinking this more for indoor, aquarium use. Those feet won't last long if using as a bait bubbler....they pop right off real easy. No big deal on that though.Decent price as well for a rechargeable device. About 2x that of a normal bubbler but if it lasts longer that's great. (I just hope the charging cord lasts as long).

Update: I felt the need to update my review to 4 stars as after my second test the unit is now working as it should.I once again charged the unit and let it sit for a few days. This time I just let it sit on the counter instead of putting it back in the box. (Read on for why this is important)I then pushed the button and it did not initially come on.I tried holding down the button for a while and it came on and it was at full charge and working properly. The pump must have turned on when I did the initial test and drained the battery.I believe however that I know why and have figured out how it turned on.If the magnet for the plug connects to the pump it automatically turns on. I believe what must have happened in the first test is that when I put everything into the box the plug must have touched or connected to the pump and it turned on and drained the battery. The short plug and wonky connection is still worthy of knocking it down 1 star but I definitely feel like this is a worthwhile purchase and will work as a emergency pump. I will just need to insure that I keep the plug away from the pump when packing it up.-----Initial review...The unit is packed nicely and has all of the extra pieces you need. 2 check valves, silicone air tubing, and a charging cord. It arrived with about 60% charge. The charging cord is magnetic and very short.A few issues I noticed immediately are that it does not have a very strong connection. This would be 1000 times better off with a standard usb-c connection and a rubber plug. The cord is very short and there is no way it would reach any outlet safely if this was to be used on a regular basis. This would usually not be a problem as these are designed to be back-up pumps for power outages, transport, or keeping live bait alive outside of a permanent location. Here is why this is an issue. After being fully charged, I allowed it to sit for 5 days being turned off and packed back into the box just as it arrived. When I attached the tubing and set it up for a test it would not turn on. Completely dead.Initially it arrived with a 60% charge and it seemed to blow air out of the box. I'm not sure if somehow the unit just turned itself on and ran until it died, or if something went wrong with it after it was charged. What I do know is that I would expect it to still be holding a charge 5 days sitting in the box. If my power went out and I needed to rely on this to keep my fish alive I'd have been in a bad situation. For this reason and the wonky short plug I'll rate this 3 stars, if you connected a long USB adapter cord and had this running continuously and the power failed, I'm guessing that the unit would remain on battery power which would be effective. I did not test this method as it is not something that I would choose to do but it is something that someone else may have a need for.I will give this another full charge and replicate the initial test and update my review if I find different results.
