the mail slot is well made and attractive. The only thing is it didnot come in a smaller length. I put it over a smaller hole that was already there and not modifiable.

Looks great. It was what I wanted. Only issue is that the string keeps the lid open when someone opens it all the way. Other reviewers said the same thing. But this is not enough for me to dislike it.

I recently had a new garage door installed & wanted a new mail slot, this one fit the bill. I got this particular finish to match the door hardware, which turned out fine. I also bought a sleeve for this to protect the door insulation.

I ordered this to replace a brass plate that was currently installed in the door of my new (old) house. This has made a huge difference. We couldn't find anything other than polished silver or gold in stores so I was grateful to locate this piece. The price was fair and it arrived earlier than expected.
