This knocker is more expensive than others available, but it is certainly worth the price. The quality is excellent and I guarantee not to tarnish makes it perfect for our front door.

This style has been around forever and this is a top quality knocker. The brass is very heavy and very shiny. It looks and feels important. It's perfect on a high gloss black door.

Since this was a replacement for an existing (similar) door knocker, my main concern was matching the spacing of the screws which attach it through the door. This factor limited my choices dramatically. Fortunately, I was able to find this Baldwin unit which met my standard of high quality with the proper spacing at a reasonable price. The client was very impressed with the lifetime high polished finish. Installation was relatively simple requiring only minor revisions to the attachment holes on the exterior. I was very pleased with the speed of delivery and the quality of the product.

The look and finish of this knocker is why we made the purchase. My only driving is that they did not think to include a simple mounting template, our even instructions. It ain't ticket achieve to install, but some simple instructions would have been helpful.
