I am using this as the container for a homemade knife block with bamboo skewers. It is sturdy and the wood is a lovely light brown. This is the perfect size to hold 12 or more knives, and it was reasonably priced. If I tire of using it in this way, I could easily see using it as a small waste can for a bathroom or office.

It’s well made and beautiful. I only wish it came with a liner as I don’t want to ruin it placing damp makeup remover wipes in it.
