Good quality ebonite material of mouthpiece
A certain period of time after production can tarnish silver plating due to the characteristics of the components.
New mouthpieces may retain the characteristics of the Ebonite material and may tarnish if stored in a silver-plated musical instrument, ligature, or cap with a silver plated musical instrument. In addition, it is prone to discoloration even when stored in high temperatures and humid places.
In order to avoid silver plated discoloration, we recommend storing your mouthpiece separately from your instrument in the outer pocket of the musical instrument case (wrapped with a soft cloth, such as a risk of breakage).
(discoloration will be less likely after the seasoning period. )

I wanted a mouthpiece that gave me a bright tone- one that could be heard! I tried seven different Vandoren mouthpieces, and this one was the one that suited me. Thankfully, it was also not too expensive
