The folded over sides provide enough support for hanging folders and is a wider than regular banker boxes, so the lid goes on over the hanging folders. That is what I was looking for.

I ditched my 4 drawer filing cabinet during a move where I downsized. All my documents fit perfectly in these 4 boxes. Easy to set up, super thick and sturdy. Strong handle points for lifting. Awesome deal for the quality!

I like that these boxes are sturdy and that the lids have a piece on the ends that fold into the hand hold to prevent the top from coming off when moving them.When the box is folded according to the premarked folds, the hanging files do not hang on both sides of the box, at least that was my experience.

These do what they say they do -they work exactly as a file cabinet but they are not for every day over use. They are for one time use I believe and if you need to get in and out of them a few times I’d say they’d be OK but I’d say if you need to get in and out of them constantly over a period of time they would start to wear out. But we are moving and they fit the bill for moving out of our home office and putting them in storage. I taped them up really good because obviously the top would come off with professional movers moving them into a moving truck and I’m sure all of our important papers would fly out of them!
