Your cart is empty.Rigid locking in extension and Semi-Rigid locking in compression. Locking springs allow you to stop and release the gas spring anywhere along the stroke with the push of a button or lever. You must pair these gas springs with a release system. (sold separately) This gas spring is also supplied with a ball socket end fitting and ball stud on one end for mounting. The ball socket end fitting rotates in any direction on the ball stud to help compensate for misalignment.

I ordered one of these in spite of the '1-star rating in a foreign language'. I'm just experimenting with an automated bimini top/radar for my boat so I haven't used it, but it works as explained by the Bansbach web site. You have to buy this strut plus the cable/switch that controls it. (Bansbach Easylift 582 39" (1000mm) Easytouch Bowden Wire Release System, Steel). When you push the button on the cable/switch the force of the strut is exerted on the rod. When you release that button the strut locks in place

The package arrived today but was empty. The box was not sealed properly so may have fallen out of the box. The plastic bag was inside.
