These lights are a fun way to add a little lighting effect to your homemade greeting cards. They are easy to install and easy to operate. The built in switch clicks very solidly to turn the LED either on or off and the lighting unit is thin enough that it doesn’t effect the card during the construction. It is lightweight enough that it also doesn’t affect the postage that needs to be paid in order to mail it. There are no batteries included in these lights so you will have to provide your own 2016 button cell battery but if you are going to mail the created card, you might want to check in your area about the rules for mailing batteries. Aside from making greeting cards, the lights are small enough that you could incorporate them into other crafting projects. Adding them to a canvas painting or poster board craft is easily done and the lights are bright enough that they really make a difference and bring a new dimension to the craft. Just a great, fun little product that I’ve enjoyed working with.

This could be good for something like the illumination of Rudolph's nose, or anything needing a relatively small point of light. It wouldn't work so great for larger area backlighting as it is a bright but concentrated light. It works fine, it uses CR2016 cells as advertised, which is good because I have a lot of those and nothing else that uses them (a bit of an oops but now I can use them up).One thing that is a little less than ideal is that it is push on, push off. That means if you forget to turn it off, it will stay on, presumably until the battery is dead (I don't know if there is a timer to shut it off but I don't think so). I think it would be better if it only lit up while pushed, but that is a matter of opinion. Not bad value, you may find other uses than just cards - I am thinking of sticking one on to the backside of my computer, it is always dark back there and hard to see to plug in cables.

I missed that batteries weren't included but I went back and read the description and lights were DEFINITELY supposed to be there and they aren't so these are basically useless to me not to mention the cost of a battery for it. But I have a ton of double sided adhesive sheets.
