Safely Cut the Foil
Place your thumb opposite the blade below the wine bottle rim. Apply pressure while rotating the bottle to cut the foil. Slip the blade under the foil and lift it off.
Position Corkscrew and Twist into Cork
Starting slightly off-center, begin driving the corkscrew into the cork. Keep rotating until fully inserted.
Position the Fulcrum for Removal
Position the fulcrum on the top edge of the bottle.
Lift the Handle Up to Remove Cork
Lift the handle firmly and smoothly in one swift motion to extract the cork.

I bought two of these to keep in my car/travel bag but I decided to return both of them. They were very poorly made. The surfaces of both had a lot of scratches, dents and other defects. For one of them, the screw was loose and wobbled. The hinge in the other one is uneven and sticks.The picture and the description do not properly represent the product. The quality is very poor.

I open a lot of wine bottles and I got tired of cheap wine keys breaking or bending. I bought this one partially based on reviews I read and I am not at all disappointed. It feels great in my hand, opens bottles easily and feels very sturdy. I will have this baby for many years.

I had a Houdini, but the handle broke. My daughter (a former restaurant server) suggested I go more "old school" so I bought this one, based on the shape and structure of the handle. It is an excellent opener!! Very well made, sturdy, easy to use, and the ergonomic, smooth handle is very easy to tolerate when pulling up to extract the cork. I have arthritis, and my hands are often very stiff and sore... this opener is actually much easier to use and requires less force than the Houdini. HIGHLY recommend this!

I had a favorite wine key that broke...this feels superior in quality and in the hand. It also was easier to remove a cork. The only easier experience I've had was with an electric opener
