Magnet could be stronger. It is strong but not as strong as needs to be to not move around a lot. Charge another dollar and use neodymium magnets.

I bought this holder for my LS2208 Barcode Scanner. It fits just fine and has a sufficient magnet for support. It also had two metal sticker pieces that you can affix to the wall and the holder will stick to the metal pieces. Good quality. Would purchase again if need be.

it does what it's supposed to do, i holds my scanner. i added it to the metal leg of my desk to hold my scanner and not take up desk space. it works well, the magnet is pretty strong so it'll take a good tug to knock the mount loose. the mount comes w/ 2 metal tabs i guess to stick on surfaces which are not metal and you can use the mount.

I purchased this to attach to a metal armrest/thermal printer mount and to hold a Honeywell barcode (driver's license) scanner inside my assigned police car. The magnetic back attached to the printer mount with a decent amount of hold, but it could have stood to be a little stronger for my purposes. When putting the scanner in the mount, I could not find a position which held it with any amount of security at all. When placed handle down, the scanner was only held by about the top 0.25-0.5" of the mount. Think of holding a basketball using only your fingertips instead of your entire hand and that's about what it was. When placed handle out (perpendicular to the ground), the scanner would still not firmly sit in the mount in any position. The scanner always sat crooked since the mount wasn't really deep enough in any direction to allow the handle to be fully supported.I liked the idea and the price point of this mount the best out of any others that I looked at, but I ultimately ended up returning the mount for a refund. It may work better with other scanners, but I would not recommend it for Honeywell Voyager scanners and similar models.
