One of the worst things about wetsuits is how stiff some of them are. I’m muscular athletic build and curvy. I love the zippers on the wrists ankles and neck. Makes donning and doffing so much easier. The shape of the suit is fantastic and seems to fit me proportionately the best of any suit next to the xcel brand, which I would compare the Nixie to the most.

The zipper closes but will open when I start moving. Not a welcome thought when I was diving in 23C water. The sleeves have rubber seals along the forearm and along the mid calf which made it quite hard to don.

Very satisfied with my purchase. I dive "cold" and often find that I have to sacrifice space/weight in my luggage, time getting ready to dive and flexibility/movement, for warmth. With this Bare Nixie 5 mm I sacrificed nothing!After decades of being a devoted user of one of the major brands of scuba exposure suits and equipment, I decided to give this brand/item a test, diving repeatedly (multiple times a day, five days in a row) in 78-80 degree F water. For many on my trip, diving here was a shorty to 3 mm experience. I traded my ("normal") 7/5 suit for this 5mm.I was warm, the suit goes on super easily, it dries fast and is super comfortable to wear, above and below surface. For the dives during which I felt I'd be cold, I "upgraded" with a 3mm hooded vest under the Nixie.I recommend this suit fully.

For reference I'm 5'3 and 160lbs... I have the Bare Nixie 3/2 in a size 6 and decided to size up to an 8 for the 5mm , that was definitely the right choice.Nice thick wetsuit, hand, ankle and neck zips. Loop at the base of the back zipper to make it easier to zip solo. Seals in the arm and legs to help avoid flushing. Perfect for the chillier tropical winter months .The order came quickly considering I'm at an APO , less than 2 wks. Definitely would recommend.
