Pull is black steel with two phillips screws on top and two screws on the bottom. Steel is solid and heavy. Screws are well made and didn't chip when we used an electric drill on them. However, the fact that there were two screws each on the top and bottom made it a little more difficult to install on our screen door wood which was only 1.5" wide.

These are great handles for a shed or gate. I’m using them on my gates, and they are nice and big; easy to grip. The steel is good quality. It’s coated in a black matte finish. Like most coated, gate hardware, it may slightly rust in the weather. Time will tell on that, but overall they are a really nice set of sturdy handles! I recommend them.
