I saw this product at a flea market and was impressed enough I wanted to get a new, clean version. Here's what I liked about it:* It is incredibly lightweight. I'm assuming the lenses are plastic, but the image quality is still very good. And by being so lightweight, you can hand-hold it.* Further, the straight-on angle of the eyepiece is such that you can hold it right up to your eye -- it is not angled in a way that requires a tripod.* You can't beat a 60X zoom. Yikes!* The optics are pretty impressive. I was reading license plates of cars across a large mall parking lot.* It's a spotting scope, meaning that as you look through it, everything is upside up as it should be.* It comes very professionally packaged -- a nice inner pouch, and a very elegant outer case.I ended up returning mine for just one reason: I'm a professional photographer and I found the optics were just not quite up to snuff compared to my much more expensive Kowa telescope. The optics on the Barska were good enough that I only noticed it when I compared the two telescopes side-by-side. But since I already owned the Kowa outright, I decided to just stay with that, even though I can only use the Kowa with a tripod. If you're pretty good with your hands, you can hand-hold this Barska with no problem, particularly at 20X.This is a nice looking item with very good image quality in a snappy and comprehensive package. I highly recommend this for the amateur or enthusiast.

So far I like it a lot. Everything works as it is expected. The base could be more firm and steady, but for its price it looks reasonable OK in quality. I would recommend this product for anyone who practice Target Shooting.

Bought this to sight my rifle in. Worked great zeroeing at 100 yards. Ok at 200. But def didn't not work at all for 300. Trust me, that was a long walk back and forth many times. Might be a 2-3 star since it's did ok for the price. But gave it 1 so people will look at it.

The optics of this scope is from regular to bad. It's useless at the higher magnifications (color, image distortions). It is worth to spend more money to get something better.

The optics are not good. It is a very cheap import. It gives me a head ache looking through this thing for more than 30 sec.The stand is very light cheap thin metal.. Useless really. If you are really really broke and just have to have something right now and you put all your money in to a good rife and scope i guess this will kind of work. It's ok at 150 yards if you have good eyes but at 300 its a lot tougher to see double hits and hits on black lines. You would be a lot better off and save your money up and get a good scope. Just step up a little. 250 to 300. you get what you pay for.

This Barska 20-60x60 is an excellent spotting scope for sighting in rifles This is a durable spotting scope that comes with a durable hard case, soft case and decent tripod (for the cost). Functional if not excellent optics package for the $100 price. You can get better glass in a monocular or binoculars at this price range, if you know what you are looking for. You can also get better glass, especially for > 300 yards or activities that require more optics precision like bird spotting. However, this is not what I got this for. I like to set this up when I have a group out shooting, and am working several rifles at once, or sighting things under timed shooting. I get this dialed in and then I can plug away and dial in my irons, or let new shooters work on how trigger pull, breathing, and windage affect groupings at Having quite a few pieces of glass: monocular, binocular, and scopes for spotting - I would buy this one again all day long for $100. I live right next to the Bushnell outlet, and chose this over all the competing glass options (for equal $) available there.

I purchased this spotting scope back in 2008 and have had a good amount of time behind the lens. I purchased this spotting scope based on my budget at the time and the reviews that I read on Amazon.com. After two years of use, I can finally add some constructive feedback about this product.Pros:Comes with a nice carrying caseIncluded tripod is a very handy accessoryBuild quality is very nice at this price pointClarity of the glass is decent at 100 yardsLarge magnification with a very nice fine tune control knobCons:There is no height adjustment to the tripod - but that isn't to be expected at this price pointFront lens cap does not stay on and falls off easily during transportEye-relief - this is my biggest problem with the spotting scope. You REALLY have to get in very close to get a good image. This issue is greatly enhanced when you're using the higher magifications. Additionally, I would not recommend going with the highest setting of the magnification - your going to have issues with straining your eyes.Overall, would I purchase this item again based on my experience and my needs/situation? I would have to say no and here is why. I originally purhcased this item because I was on a limited budget, I didn't think that I needed something beyond 100 yards, and I didn't know too much about spotting scopes and the differences compared to higher-end ones. Knowing what I know now and using higher quality spotting scopes, I should have just bit the bullet and went with a better spotting scope. That being said, if you're not able to put down the coin for a better quality spotting scope, than this one should serve its purpose - esp at this price point. I think it just comes down to your needs and budget.
