We bought a big pair of stargazing binoculars. The original plastic adapter that came with it was wiggly, so we bought this metal adapter. The difference is tremendous. The binoculars don't wiggle anymore, because this metal adapter is rigid.

Sarebbe un buon prodotto, ma la vite è troppo lunga e non chiude bene sui vari tipo di binocolo su cui l'ho provato. Ho dovuto aggiungere delle rondelle per colmare il gap

I bought this Barska binocular tripod mount so that I could mount my Bushnell 10x42mm Banner and Bushnell 10-22x 50mm Legacy WP binoculars on a tripod for stable, hands-free viewing. This Barska mount works for both Bushnell models (it connects to the mounting screw interface located on the front of each binocular body, and will connect them to a standard tripod using a 1/4"-20 UNC screw. The mount itself is made of metal and feels very solid in the hand (no cheap plastic crap!). It provides a solid and steady attachment to the tripod, which is important when you are mounting a quality optical instrument and need a solid connection to the tripod. This is definitely a good value for the money.

This is a great binocular adapter mount for any binoculars. I have used it for a pair of celsestron 25x70 very large binoculars as well as Athlon 10x42 and wosport 15x60 and 10x42 binoculars and it worked great with all these pairs of binoculars.it is made of solid metal and with a good tripod very stable with no shaking or wobbling while looking through your glass.I would highly recomment this to anyone that is looking for a good binocular tripod adapter mount.

The Celestron 15x70mm binoculars I got couple of days ago has a plastic mount that came with the package is significantly wobbly when you touch the binoculars with your face to view something and it makes it impossible. This helped a lot like other reviews said. Reduction is from a 15 sec wobble to 3 sec wobble after I tried this. Threading is a little longer so the binoculars will losely rotate around it. I happened to have a set of washers I purchased in bulk from Amazon a while ago so it was not a big deal and costly matter. At one point I was wondering if I should purchase a costly tripod instead of the $35 one but this is a far better solution with a metal mount to try for a while.

I've been looking for a sturdy, easy to use, binocular mount for my large 80 x 20 astronomical binoculars and I've found it. This mount fits right on my camera tripod using the 1/4" screw mount as found on most tripods. This mount should also work well on standard size binoculars and smaller tripods. The mount screws onto the front of the binocular hinge and tightens down snuggly so that the binoculars don't rock side to side so much unlike other binocular mounts that rock too easily. Don't misunderstand, the binoculars will still swivel with this mount but not as easily. Using small binoculars should result in an even tighter lock down. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Recently got a pair of Celestron Astro Binoculars. The binoculars come with a tripod adapter so I never thought you would need one and I didn't understand why all the reviews said you did. However, I still ordered an Opticron mount first from amazon and I thought it worked - but it was horrible, almost broke my binoculars one day when they fell off the tripod. I did not realize how one of these should fit until I ordered this Barska one. It's perfect - extremely sturdy and now makes me realize how bad the previous ones were and how a tripod adapter should really fit. If you have a recently got a pair of Celestron 15x70 or 25x70s, this is the mount/adapter you need! Don't bother researching more and just get this!!

I purchased this binoculars tripod adapter for 12x50 binoculars I've had for a while. I didn't use them much because they're a bit difficult to hold steady, so I thought I'd try the tripod adapter. It works great; unlike other reviewers, I had no difficulty in attaining a solid fit at either the tripod or binocular connection. I appreciate how solid the metal is; it's definitely not going anywhere. If I upgrade to a better set of higher powered binoculars, it's nice to know this adapter will be usable then, too. Overall, a good product at the same price as some of its plastic competitors.

Price was right and was received quickly. The quality of the metal seems more than adequate for mounting big binoculars. It is heavy for its size so its unlikely made from aluminum. Definitely further reduced wobble experienced from the plastic adapter mount received with the binoculars. A couple of issues which I consider a fail. Tightening the upper mounting screw tightly doesn't stop the binocular from a minute degree of swiveling while adjusting the focus knob. Others have recommended a possible fix by adding a star washer. So this is fixable but this solution or a rubber O ring should have been included. Comparing the base of this adapter to the plastic one, the base of the Barska is small. Smaller than I expected. The Barska base doesn't provide the necessary contact area or rubber to rubber friction resistance surface when screwed tightly down upon the quick release plate of the tripod. With minimum force it will eventually move from the desired fixed position. Gluing the two surfaces together is not an option in my case. Some may find it a minor annoyance or unacceptable. I'm exploring other options for a larger/wider base mount application.

I picked up a pair of Celestron SkyMaster Giant 15x70 Binoculars here on Amazon and though they came with a tripod mount, it wasn't very good. The plastic one was EXTREMELY flimsy and generated too much unwanted and unnecessary shake given the field of view. I purchased this Barska unit as an alternative and the problem is solved. It works perfectly with the SkyMasters and provides a solid, steady platform to view the night sky. To further solidify the setup, I got a Really Right Stuff multi-use plate B76 for the bottom. Since I use the RRS heads for photography use as well, it was a no-brainer. The lip on the plate rests against the wide side of the base of the Barska and keeps it from rotating. The only con to this setup is that the stupid plate cost MORE than the binoculars!!! Ha.This Barska works very well, esp. for the price (under $12) and honestly Celestron should strike a deal with this company to begin with. The provided mount isn't good at all.
