I coached many youth baseball teams back in the day, and sure wish that I would have had a training tool like this back then. At least now I have one for my grandson to utilize as he grows older. To be honest I didn't know that these contraptions existed. But I've been out of the coaching game for a good while now.I'm going to be helping my son a little with his team this year. We recently tried this trainer out at one of our local fields with great success! We used the ground stakes to secure it to the field and didn't have any problems. And wow you just never know where the balls are going to end up. It truly simulates bad hops that lead to defensive lapses. This field trainer comes more than highly recommended from us!!!

Very cool device, I have never seen anything like this before, but I was intrigued. Teaching my daugher who is playing softball for the first time how to handle grounders has been great. Half the time bounces over the device, the other half, boom, make sure you keep it in front of you! Overall, it's well build and easy to use. It might be on the pricier side, but for teaching a first timer, it's well worth it to catch her up and simulate real sitautions.

Are you concerned your players have it too easy and can't react to a bad hop? Well, this fielding training is for you then. You never know what you are going to get with this one. It could be a straight hop; it could be sideways hop. Keep practice and training fun and functional with this trainer.
