This unique material allows the Muzzle to be reshaped to a custom fit in hot water.The humane basket design ensures the dog's welfare by allowing them to pant, drink and play. We have a new rescue Chow boy who is not happy going to the vets or groomer. His muzzle is very short but pretty wide, His snout is 13" around but only 2" long. We had ordered a few different types and sizes of basket muzzles to try to find the right fit. This one fits him well, It feels very sturdy and durable. It is light but feels well made.When we first got it left it on his bed with his toys, so he got used to the smell of it and having it around. We put some peanut butter inside it by the tip, and he put his face inside it to get at the treat. We did NOT try to clip it on him the first few times. After about a week, I started adjusting the straps while he was licking the peanut butter- and then clipped it on. He tolerated it quite well. He wasn't sure what was on his head but stopped fussing after a few seconds of pawing at it. Kept praising him while he had it on his head. IThe big trick is making sure 1) it fits properly around his muzzle 2) the straps are adjusted well around his head, so it fits snugly - but NOT tight. Easy to put on and off after you get the right fit.

This item arrived cracked and is very friable (easy to break). I don’t see how it could serve as any sort of muzzle. Unfortunately, my pup had a small cut on his ear, so as I tried it on, some blood got on the muzzle, so I don’t think I’ll be able to return it. It’s completely useless and probably would be for anyone, whether the aim is to prevent a dog-on—dog bite or prevent the pup from eating foreign objects.

I like the weight and shape of this muzzle. The first one I bought tore at a rivet. When I looked at it,I think the rivet hole was just cut at the wrong place. I contacted the seller and sent a picture of the tear. I received a replacement immediately. I also ordered the wrong size at first. Again,I received a different size before I returned the first one. My dog is able to run and breath while wearing this muzzle. I'm giving it a 4 because he can still get out of it.

Wir hatten so einige Maulkörbe probiert und letztlich sind wir nun bei diesem gelandet. Wir haben eine American Staffordshire Terrier und brauchten daher einen Maulkorb für einen Hund mit kurzer, aber breiter Schnauze. Bei sämtlichen Zoofächhändlern hier vor Ort hatten wir kein Glück, worauf wir einige hier bei Amazon bestellten. Und evoila, dieser passt, wie Arsch auf Eimer. :) Der Hund hat soviel Platz das er hecheln und evtl. Wasser trinken könnte, aber nicht soviel Platz, dass er sich da irgendwie raus winden kann. Mit viel Training und so einigen Leckerlies, liebt er seinen Maulkorb. Wenn ich unserem Hund den Maulkorb hinhalte, steckt er schon von selbst den Kopf rein, er findet ihn einfach nur toll. :)Also auch hier, beide Pfoten hoch. Preis - Leistung, perfekt!

We bought this for our pit/boxer mix, and it fits better than any other muzzle we've tried to date. This ones fits somewhat loosely, but we're adding holes which we expect will address that to some degree. That said, he can't seem to get it off despite trying and he can drink, pant, etc.

muzzle fits great and is very comfortable for my "supersized" boxer. I would recommend to other dog lovers who have dogs with a little "attitude".

I intentionally got a cheap muzzle just to take on a trip for my Pitbull because he occasionally attempts to get aggressive with strange dogs and I figured it wouldn't hurt to have one. This was not even worth the ~$20 I paid.I was concerned with the construction of it when I received the package. I decided to test it out anyway. Once this was tight enough that he couldn't immediately pull it right off his head, it squished his nose up. I imagine this would really only fit on a dog with a big head and short snout. I tried to bend and shape the rubber a bit to give him some room, but no luck. We tried it again and when he went to tug it off, one of the buckles snapped right off. Something this poorly made should not be labeled for "Boxer & Pitbull" as either of those breeds has enough strength to break the thing in mere minutes. This one lasted us about 3 minutes. What a waste of money.

this review cannot comment on the fit of the product, only the craftsmanship---my dog is difficult to fit, and his good muzzle was skunked and had to go in the dumpster. this was meant to hold us over until our behavioral vet orders us a replacement. we wear a muzzle due to fear based aggression toward dogs and other targets(trucks, etc). SO--the leather straps are stiff and of poor quality; the buckles and thin and weak - i had difficulty sliding the straps through while adjusting the fit. i did give 2 stars b/c of the price. it is inexpensive, so if light duty muzzle is acceptable and you are willing to work with sub-par leather and hardware, this is ok. it may also be an acceptable spare. the muzzle i prefer is looks like the dean and tyler line offered on amazon
