Old furnace replacement

For some reason 3 months ago my furnace was not heating for about 12 hours. All of a sudden it started to heat again. I did some research to troubleshoot the problem. All things pointed to the ignition control board. I called a local Lenox dealer and was told Lenox does not make replacement ignition control boards for older furnace anymore. They gave me a price of close to $1000.00 to find a part and fix it. They were trying to talk me into a new furnace and AC unit. So this replacement ignition control board was ordered from Baso for around $135.00. And it has not been installed. It is serving as an emergency backup/replacement in case my furnace gives me any problems.

My older Pulse furnace was beginning to act strangely last fall so I started shopping around for a replacement controller. I was disappointed to find out that Johnson Controls no longer makes the original controller and used controllers (presumably with the same inherent issues as mine that already failed) were available on eBay for an exorbitant price. I was happy to stumble upon this replace unit instead.Installation was simple with the included instructions, took only about 15 minutes with no real specialty tools. I would warn that while they do make it fairly fool-proof this is NOT a plug-and-play installation and if you do something wrong you could possibly render your furnace useless and leave yourself without heat. If you don't feel comfortable poking around inside your appliances and troubleshooting basic issues then it may be time to call in the pros instead. The unit has gotten me through an entire Michigan winter now and is still running happily. I would highly recommend this unit.

The perfect fix for my Lennox pulse furnace. This is the second time I have had to replace this unit in the last 20 years. Original replacement was an oem Lennox product. It plugs right in where the old units was with only one minor modifications needed. There is a YouTube video that explains in great detail exactly how to replace this unit on your furnace. With that video and the instructions that come with it it only took me around 10 minutes to replace it and my furnace now works perfectly. Definitely worth the price.

After my old Johnson Controls unit on my Lennox Pulse 21 furnace burned out; the furnace man came out and told me those controllers were no longer available, and I might have to consider replacing the furnace. I said "no way", and did a simple online search for the part number, and came up with this. It was very simple to replace, taking only about 5 minutes. Now my furnace works like a charm!!!

Just installed it on my Lenox Pulse 21 furnace. It fired right up. I've had the computer replaced twice before by a technician so I hope this last longer than the Johnson Control units did. Depending on your furnace, this was not just a plug-n-play hook up for me. First is the screw holes will not line up so your will have to drill a new mounting hole(s). I used self tapping screws. The other issue is connecting the high voltage spark wire. The original computers had a pin you pushed the wire on to provide a connection. The Baso unit is a male spade connection. Also my ignition wire was too short so I had to extend it. I used a male/female crimp ons to splice a piece of wire on it. I got the wire from the sense lead which was longer than I needed. I could have relocated the modulo closer but didn't want to. The crimp ons I used were heat shrink style to provide a stronger connection and 100% insulation coverage.Update: 1/4/2018- It is zero degrees outside right now. This ignitor has been working flawlessly so far. It is a quick and easy fix for your furnace if your original computer board is bad.

Narrowed down my furnace issue to the JCI igniter board but was very disappointed to not find the OEM part to replace it. Found this module and I must say that I couldn't be happier. It was easy to change out and works perfectly. Shipping next day for $4 is great too when you have a 6 week old daughter to keep warm in chilly WI.

I have Pulse G21Q3-60-1 that would not run or only run for a couple of minutes. Read blogs and watched many videos. Multimeter showed that the gas valve was not getting the 24V needed. Ordered this control from NWFSupply. Shipped immediately. Easy install - drill one hole for new screw position, cut spark wire end and crimp on new connector, plug wires into new Baso control. The furnace has been running perfectly for a week. Thanks Baso for making this part and NWFSupply for the great service and price.
