After you grind down the molding pry bar, this end is pretty good. The nail puller end is poorly machined and has a nail grip that is too large for the size of finishing nails to be pulled. The three sizes (8", 10" & 12") of Stanley FatMax Molding Bars cost more but are all five star quality. The similar Spec Ops 11" Molding Pry Bar is also of very high quality. These are also sold on Amazon and you will be delighted with them and the quality of your work. I receive numerous envy comments about these useful tools.

The bar hasn’t been made very well at all. The claw end was clearly not machined well with one side of the claw being smaller than the other and not even shaped the same

Received my Cats Paw Nail Puller a few days ago. Works as well as my older Stanley/Bostitch. Other than black it looks just like it too. Great for getting sunk nail head up as well as pulling smaller nails.

Aesthetically very attractive. It worked exactly right for my nail pulling project on my deck. Small enough to minimize damage to surrounding wood, strong enough to do the job.

This is the smallest cats claw I’ve ever seen but it is very effective. I took it out to the workshop and pulled several 12 penny nails embedded in some 20+ year old lumber with no problem. With nails that large you have to use a hammer to hit the cats claw to pull the nails out because there’s not enough length for the leverage needed to pull that long of a nail by hand. It’s not painted nice colors like some of the more expensive units, but you’re going to hit it with a hammer anyway so I don’t think that’s a big deal. The places I hit with a hammer are of course scratched but they did not get dented or dinged up at all. And this is small enough to fit in our kitchen door tool drawer, which is really cool.
