I'm 71 and been riding motorcycles for 51 of those years. I ride year round . Don't ride in the rain anymore if I can help it but cold doesn't slow me down. I've always suffered from cold hands and as I have gotten older it bothers me more. Getting soft I suppose. Last year I left home one morning for work and it was 12 degrees Fahrenheit. On the highway at 60 miles an hour thats below 0 wind chill. I have a 28 mile commute to work. So last year after that morning I purchased some wind guards and these heated grips. No problem to install, took less than than 2 hours. Make sure you hook them to a circuit that only has power when the switch is on. They fit around your original grips which is what I wanted since I didn't want to replace my grips. They tend to slip around a bit while riding and get out of place. I want the area where the velcro strip that holds them together is positioned on top so as to be in the palm area of my hand . I wanted the most heat on my fingers. It was easy to solve. Took the heated grips back off and used a bit of Vaseline on a rag to rub the grips on the bike and clean them . Then just wipe them with a clean rag and reinstall the heated grips again. Problem solved. I'm now on my second year using them and am extremely pleased with them. I have also purchased a pair of heated gloves that I use in conjunction with them. Normally I can run the grips on medium and the gloves on low and I'm a happy rider. The only regret I have is that I didn't buy all this 20 years ago.

This did pretty much all I wanted it to do. Gets plenty warm on the high setting, you certainly don't want to be trying to use it on high with out gloves.It helps to put the grip wraps on high before you put them on so you can stretch them tighter just a bitIt has 4 stars for two reasons. One is the battery terminal wire crimps are pretty poor quality. They aren't very substantial at allThe second reason is it should have weather proof locking connectors for the grip wraps them selves. The throttle side in particular can pull free just from normal use, I used electrical tape to seal and lock them.

I was impressed especially for the price. Great option for those who don't want or need heated grips. I ran them when chilly and unplugged and threw them in the bag when they weren't needed.

Wish the three settings were a little further apart. You get Very Hot, Melting my gloves hot and Too dang hot - Turn it off, hot! Warm would be nice.Keeps the palms toasty, but on long rides, you'll still be thinking about a grip wind deflector. For the price, I am very happy.Be sure to place the overlap down if on the tank side of the throttle, or up, if on the headlight side of the throttle grip. That way you are always pulling the overlap tighter as you rotate the throttle. I wrapped them quite tight around the grips and have not experienced any slippage.

These are great. The installation was simple. If you don't have a switch 12v source that is easy to get to, you will need to add a relay. Once power is connected and the wires hidden, you are all set. They get hot. Real hot. I felt the heat through my winter gloves. With thin gloves on, the heat was more than adequate even on the low setting. The only fault I can think of is getting the velcro seam in the right spot so your palm or fingers are warmed. It took me a couple of rides to get them dialed in with my hand position.

The grips, switch, and heat levels worked great but after one ride the switch flashes through the colors and then turns off and won’t flash again until it is disconnected and reconnected. But still won’t work.

Easy to install. Installed it on my 97 HD Electra glide in 10 mins (I have pretty skinny grips & the wraps just barely fit; by like only 1/4"). Wired it to my battery charger pigtail using another batt charger lead. That made it easy to remove/reinstall for each riding season (simply plug it in when needed). Turned it on & went for a ride (50 degree weather). Worked great....very warm although the left grip was significantly warmer (actually hot ...but I liked it) than the right (it was pretty warm but nothing like the left). After 30 mins I noticed they were getting cooler & then went completely cold. Rest of the trip was pretty chilli! The controller had power & would still chage settings but still nothing. Tried resetting it and disconnected/reconnected but nothing worked so...... it's going back for a refund.
