This item came 2 to a package. I have used both of them as they both have broke within 2 days of using them. I had a birthday photo shoots for a 60 year old & a 2 year old. Thank goodness the battery hole had a latch to hold battery or I would have lost the batteries. The one broke immediately into pieces and then when I replaced with the 2nd one, it broke also. Don't buy these.

If I could give it a negative rating I would. The supposed replacement part came in a pack of two. Both parts fell apart as I was attempting to install. The small screws holding the metal plates came out. To make matters worse the part did not fit . The package is labeled as D5100.

I was very cautiously optimistic that this would actually fit my camera in spite of ensuring that my specific model was identified. I didn’t want to track down such an obscure part elsewhere so it was worth the gamble. Though it took a few minutes to loosen the plastic enough so that it would squeeze into the grooves, it fit and closed perfectly! AND, two came in a pack in case my next move dislodges this battery cover. Awesome find.
