Had it for about 2 years and still use it daily. Took it on my cruise and enjoyed my own coffee instead of sludge...worth every penny spent. Absolutely love it and looking to get a 2nd for work.

I think that they could have designed the the top and especially the plunger better. I think that a couple of grommets in the lid where the plunger shaft goes through, would be an improvement. The threads in the screw-on at the bottom could have been a tad longer as it tends to unscrew itself which can be annoying. I had it happen once when I was brewing, had to pour coffee off first with ground mixed in. Pot keeps the coffee hot for a nice long time. we like that.

When I first switched from a glass French press to a stainless steel one, I was concerned that the coffee would take on a metallic taste. Happily, there is no difference in flavor, and it is much harder to break a stainless press. I chose this press because it has no plastic parts and should be durable.I have used this press for both coffee and Teaccino, and it works perfectly for both. I particularly find useful the water level markings inside the pot and the pour spout mark on the lid. Unlike a similar press that I have had for a few years, the etching on this one is deep enough and large enough to see without bright light. Because I use a finer grind, I have found that the double mesh strainer causes too much pressure. I removed one and am saving it for use as a replacement. It works perfectly with one mesh strainer (which is what the Bodum presses have, in my experience). These presses are easy to clean without dismantling. Immediately after use, I generally rinse the pot, then fill it halfway with hot water and plunge up and down gently a few times to get any remaining coffee grounds out of the strainer.Every once in a while I dismantle the plunger and give in a thorough rinse. (No soap due to a bad experience with soap flavored coffee.) You can also put these in the dishwasher now and then if they have an abundance of oily coffee residue build up.

THIS IS LIFE-CHANGING!!!!!!I can’t express how much I love this French press. This is the fourth one I’ve owned over the last 20ish years. My husband and I have them exclusively for our morning coffee for that long. Each of the others fell victim to a fall, breaking the glass carafe. This time we decided NO GLASS! It was purely a durability concern. Then we discovered THE COFFEE STAYS DRINKABLY HOT FOR A COUPLE HOURS!!

I really enjoy this press. It is easy to operate, holds a lot of coffee (enough for 2 oversized mugs) and keeps the coffee HOT for a long time after brewing. It is easy to clean, feels nice when pouring and the double insulation is great at keeping your brewed beverage hot. My only gripe is the paint is chipping off the bottom of the press. Not a dealbreaker for me as the other things make up for that. Would recommend to someone who loves a hot cup of coffee like me.

One of the reasons I bought this was that it could be put in the dishwasher. But after having put it in the dishwasher, a couple of times, I noticed there is liquid in between the layers of stainless steel and I can’t figure out how to get it out of there! I cannot see it, but I can hear it if I shake the pot.

We really liked this product at first, but after 2 months of very light use, the handle fell off when we picked it up today. There are so many good reviews and I want to love this product, but it’s obviously not well made, and definitely not something you can use long term. Really disappointed.

Absolutely the best anð most economical way to make coffee! This is the real world guys...coffee costs 3 dollars a cup (NY)...or you have to buy a very expensive coffee system for yoir home that you literally have to pay to use-you need to buy filters or podsin order to use it AFTER you bought this expensive machine. NEVER again will you have to buy anything but COFFEE! The best brew you can get by far. The canister keeps your brew hot for hours with no electricity cost either!!!! This is a win win guys. You can't afford not to buy one!
