I thought this was just what I was looking for, but the first time I used it, it started warping, causing part of the surface to move away from the grill and other parts to remain in contact, making it impossible to attain an evenly heated surface. It is too thin and lightweight to do the job. Perhaps at low heat it maintains its shape, but how often do you grill over low heat?

The warping happens when the topper is empty and you are heating the grill. If you put it on, full of food, it warps a lot less.
