Okay, let me start off stating this mouthpiece is way larger than an alto mouthpiece. I bought an alto I’d wager to say this is actually a tenor mouthpiece. It literally slides all the way over the cork with no friction. My alto reeds barely fit. I had to shove my leather ligature as far on as I could because I’d need to purchase a tenor ligature. Now I was surprised to be able to play it on my alto but it’s not optimal as I wouldn’t be able to properly get my instrument in tune with how the mouthpiece slides so freely. But I was very surprised and happy to say that the tone quality and sound of the mouth piece is very nice. Now I just need to buy a tenor saxophone and some proper tenor reeds. I’ll share some comparison photos next to my Yamaha mouthpiece for an alto. There is a nice weight to this mouthpiece and if you have a tenor don’t hesitate to try this one out.
