Though this is supposed to be an ashtray/garbage can, the actual product shouldn't be garbage. It is cheaply made, arrived with a dent in the side (which, from the construction materials could have been made by the air in the box). The top piece is loose and does not fit snugly on the can. Speaking of cans, I am not sure how many aluminum cans were harmed in the creation of this thing, but obviously not enough because it seems like a sneeze or a motivated chickadee might knock it off my balcony. I think that if I were to actually put out a cigarette on this that the whole thing might collapse quicker than a guilty perp underneath interrogation lights. The small little aluminum foil ashtrays they had in fast food restaurants back in today had more structural integrity than this thing. Unless you want to paint free on this thing and leave it by the curb, save your money and use an old Folger's can.

Brought for my parents neighbors whose always on the deck smoking and eating. They have the convenience to get rid of their cigarettes and trash at the Sametime without using their inside trash. They say the love it each and every time they see us.

A bit pricey, but very pleased with the product. My cigar aficionado buddies appreciate having the trash/ash tray near the artificial grass putting green. Adding dry silica sand to the catch-pan beneath grill lid made it even nicer. The removable trash container fits a standard kitchen trash bag with room to spare. Recommend adding 3-5 pound bag of sand inside the base to prevent wind movement. Also, if kept in an unprotected / weather-exposed location, cover it with a plastic trash bag secured with bungee chord. Excellent Product.

I was looking for a trash can that had a top surface but also one that I could throw trash away without opening a lid. This was the only can available, one for cigarette butts on the top screen, but I have plans for that. I needed the top for another purpose, to hold my food, drink, brush, scissors, remote, etc., while in my recliner it doubles as a table. I have 6 dogs so I'm always grooming them so when I remove debris or matts from their fur I can put it right in the can without bothering with a lid. I purchased a decorative round mouse pad for the top so it does not look like a cigarette disposal and now looks like a pretty table with a hidden trash can. Lid easily removes to empty the trash, this can was a great find. I'm thrilled with my purchase!! My husband thought I was crazy but after using it himself he said, this was actually a great idea. Another happy customer.
