Lots of dirty looking dried grease when received. I used a wire brush in a high speed rotary tool (Dremel tool) to clean and somewhat polish them. None were missing pieces like the tension tab as one report stated. All that I tried fit as well as the original. The condition is consistent with the sewing machine itself. Rough and somewhat dirty. I am sure most will be usable.

Revised review:Originally gave a lower rating due to the chassis gears not fitting my machine.As far as the bobbins and bobbin carriers go, they are OK.First set of these required hours of polishing the bobbins and bobbin carriers with polishing compound to eliminate the rust to get the bobbins to spin in the carrier.Decided to order a second set to acquire more bobbins to wind different size and colors of thread, and ignore the chassis gears.The second set was much cleaner and I will try them as-is. Even if the bobbins have resistance spinning in the carrier, it will only take about 1/3 the time to clean this set to a high polish that are slippery to handle. The final metal smoothness shines almost like chrome, and the wax the polishing compound uses to hold the grit make them super slippery.So, I say these are 50/50 whether you get a ready to go set, or get a lot of work on the bobbins and carriers, and the chassis gears may or may not work for your machine. Look at the images of some of the other vendors products and you will see what my first set looked like.
