This cotton is exactly the cotton feel that J. Peterman used to have it's Victorian Undergarment line and Antoinette Night shirt were made from. I still have them both...They are true to quality you need to last a very long time! I have both pieces from J. Peterman from 1995. Not a hole in either one. I am so glad to have found a 100% Cotton version of Victorian short undergarment with eyelet lace. My first pair of these were free through Amazon Vine. I now bought this second pair. I even wear them outside in warm weather around the yard. Buy with confidence. Remember that this is sturdy cotton. Not like modern underwear.

I ordered this pair of BEAUTELICATE Women High Waisted Shorts Pants Embroidery Lace Ruffles Elastic Waist Cotton Drawing String shorts to wear under my vintage styled Victorian and Edwardian white cotton nightgowns.I wear an insulin pump/CGM, if I don’t have a pocket, I can hook it to the waistband of my pants or shorts. I didn’t have anyplace to put my pump when I wore my favorite nightgowns. These cute cotton shorts were just what I needed. The 100% cotton fabric is comfortable and breathes really well. The lace trim matches my vintage nightgowns so well, you would think they were made for each other. I can hook my pump/CGM on the waistband of these little shorts, and not worry about it while I sleep. The wide-cut shorts have a lot of vintage-inspired charm. They’re not a pair of pantaloons, or camiknickers, but they have a bit of that Victorian/Edwardian feel. The wide eyelet lace on the leg hems and waistband feel old fashioned. These are quite comfortable; they have a wide elastic waistband with an adjustable drawstring. They’re a perfect pairing with my vintage styled nightgowns, but they look cute with a tee, too. They can be a pajama short; I haven’t tried it yet, but I think they’ll look great with a ribbed cotton tank.I love when modern day construction meets old school styling. A real pair of pantaloons would look very wide to our modern eyes; these shorts have an up to date cut, but the vintage trim, crisp white cotton, andeyelet lace can take you back to whatever time you love… Bridgerton, Victoriana…little House on the Prairie? Anne of Green Gables? Betsy/Tacy?At the current price ($19.99) for real cotton, lace, and vintage style, these are a nice little bargain.
