I am just starting wood carving and these made a good intro to the craft. Maybe its just the way a carved them, but these would be more like tea stirring spoons, not dig into a big bowl or corn flakes type of spoon.

Loads of fun. The cherry blank was much harder to carve than I expected. Basswood was like butter, walnut had some tricky spots in the grain. Have only tried those three so far.

check the photos, it shows over all length. I was hopeful that they were cooking length, but are more for the tableware. Works great as a sugar spoon to add sugar to your coffee or tea (if you are so inclined). mine carved out to about 1tsp. but could be less or more. The cherry is harder than I expected, but I stropped the hook knife and it worked better.

Kinda awkward to form the handle, but overall pretty fun to do.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He's yet to use it but is looking forward to it. Lovely pieces of wood.

These are pretty small, about the size of a soup spoon. The wood is good. I've never whittled mulberry wood before.

Lots of fun. Would recommend to any friend or family. Great cuts of wood and ideal spoon size.

I just started wood carving and didn’t really know much about different types of wood, very fun to explore the different woods and their ease (or not) for carving.
