Although they are marked as being unsuitable for standing on, which is odd for a product called a "deck plate," they are strong enough to withstand use flat on a deck. I have had one installed over two years and it gets stood on all the time with no damage.

Item is good quality and properly sized for the application with what seems like a good seal. However, I was disappointed to discover that at this price they don't include hardware. Seriously, I spend $12 on a couple of pieces of molded plastic and then have to make a special trip to the hardware store because they can't throw in six small screws?

Well made, Looks great. I like this design where the cover covers the entire housing rather than fitting inside the retaining ring. Very neat and finished looking. The covers fit very tightly and are sometime difficult to undo - probably just need a bit of Vaseline on the threads.

It's doing what it's supposed to do. I used it to open up (and cover) a fresh water tank in an RV. Perfect for this purpose.
