This did not fit my 1993 Toyota Corolla 1.8 liter engine. The original equipment switch is on the right with a red O-ring. The Beck/Arnley has more threads, just enough to keep it from seating in the hole all the way up to the O-ring, so I am unable to tighten it up properly to achieve a water-tight seal.I gave it three stars because it would might work fine if it actually fit.

You have to cross-reference these parts with the dealer to find the right part numbers and you have to know how to describe the part. There are no pics on the Toyota dealer site, so you take their part number and search for a pic on another site and see if it matches. Some things are called sensor and some switches. This has two prongs so it is called a switch not a sensor. The description said this part wouldn't work with my 1993 toyota corolla, but cross referencing and the pic said it would and it did. Good luck finding the right part.

Looked for this sensor at several auto stores in my area, nobody knew what I was referring to. Very very happy that I found this on Amazon for my 1996 Toyota Corolla. Easy, 15 minute job!

They last about as long as OEMs. Switches on/off at the right temps. Good quality overall

Perfect fit in a 98 Prizm and fixed my issue of the fans not coming on.**Some good info I found online. If your fans aren't working, pull the wire from this sensor and the fans should turn on as kind of a fail safe mode, then you know you have to replace this sensor. If they dont come on after you pull this wire and start the car, it could be several other things. Also remove the alternator to get to this, its so much easier. And you might as well replace the thermostat while you have the alternator out.
