Purchased and installed for my 1st gen CR-V. it’s been a week and no issues. The sensor should come with some sealant pre-applied. I used a liquid thread sealing since I wasn’t sure if thread tape would stop the sensor from grounding through the engine. Or maybe I’m over thinking idk.

Can't say that I have much to offer on this. I was doing some other work in the same area, so I figured why not? I figured it was helpful for the piece of mind, so I replaced a few things. It's been several months and no issues.

Was working well for about three weeks. And then it inexplicably failed and literally fell apart. No idea why or how that happened. Might try to see if it was just a one off issue and try again but I'm unsure if I should gamble the ten bucks.

My 1998 Honda Accord LX V6 sedan temperature gauge was pointed at the middle when the key is at the ON position even the engine was cool; it makes the cooling system messed up and the engine getting hot after a couple miles of driving. This product fixed that issue and everything is back to normal. This gauge is made in Brazil and is using the 13mm wrench instead of the 12mm wrench for the OEM gauge.

I’m sure it’s fine, but it didn’t fix the problem. My car is showing unsteady temperature, ranging from a little above normal to very hot (but never all the way to the top), but opening the hood, the engine doesn’t seem particularly hot, and it runs fine. I checked radiator flow and even spent good money on a new water pump. Absolutely not the slightest effect.

Well-constructed part. The original sender on my 1999 TL broke so I tried to replace it with this one. After checking cold and hot resistance of the sender according to the shop manual, I found out that this is NOT compatible with the 1999 Acura TL. The resistance is a good bit off of what it should be. I ordered another to see if it was a fluke, but the measurements stayed the same.

Fit perfectly in my B16A head... I ended up breaking the OEM unit off inside the head and had to remove it and drill / tap the hole again. This slide right in and sealed correctly.
