It features a ¼" thick foam backing to provide a cushion for your knees when accessing your truck bed, using only hook and loop fasteners for an easy, no damage install. Much like the BedRug, the BedRug Tailgate Mat will give you the look and feel of carpet in an ultra-tough 100% polypropylene (essentially plastic) product. It will protect your tailgate while standing up to whatever you can throw at it: from mulch to bleach. The BedRug Tailgate Mat material is fade and UV resistant. Made of foam similar to that used in life jackets, it doesn't absorb water and will not mold or mildew. Just clean it with a hose, power washer or vacuum and your BedRug Tailgate Mat is good as new.

The rug is too wide vertically and one side of the Velcro underneath the rug will overhang the tailgate edge rendering it useless. Close but no cigar! I would also add the outside edge/surface of a 2024 Ford Ranger tailgate is recessed whete you would install the Velcro strip and that is also problematic.

The thing is trash. Don't waste your money. The quality of the rug is less than that of the cheap carpet floor mats in a base line car. The hook and loop fasteners included to attach to tailgate are weak and laughable. A gentle breeze would break the connection. No way in hell it would survive a trip down the highway. I'm waiting for a custom fit weather tech product to come available.
