The cargo basket is as expected and seems functional although the manufacturing tolerances are not ideal. Do yourself a favor and tighten nothing until it's fully assembled. Also, be prepared to junk the small bolts. They strip easily an you can't put even moderate torque on them. Mine stripped at ~40 lbs. I was easy with the rest but I suspect they will need to be replaced pretty soon.

I bought this partly because of the high weight rating, and it has proven to be a robust and dependable unit. I have made several long trips with it and never had any problems. It is easy to fold up when not in use. I bought a water-proof cover the exact same size as the platform and it has worked very well, even without raised side rails as many other carriers have. Just make sure to tie cargo down securely. It has been through several rainstorms and shows no signs of rust. I would not hesitate to buy this unit again.

I was pleased with the product. It was easy to assemble and with the help of a second person can place into hitch no problem. It did not rattle or move during the drive. I do need to be mindful when going over dips as it scraped. Overall satisfaction.

Got it at harbor freight for only 90 bucks. Same exact model. We put our mini bike on the back. Help to awesome our whole vacation.
