Fits perfectly on the Bench

I ordered this bench cushion for an old metal bench we've had for years. It has nics on the bench so when sitting, we're always trying to avoid some areas. The cushion came in pretty quickly and the packaging was secure and vacuum-sealed. Once I opened it, it fluffed out and became thick within minutes. I immediately placed it on my bench in the backyard. Overall, I'm really happy with it, but there are a couple of small issues.First, it didn’t come with tie-downs. It stays in place fairly well, but it does shift a bit when getting up and down. Second, while it’s advertised as waterproof, I’d say it’s more water-resistant. I left it out during a brief storm and the outer fabric did get damp, but the inside stayed dry and it didn’t take long to dry out—definitely better than some others I have back there now (they are still drying out).Despite those things, it’s super comfortable and has made the old bench my new favorite spot to hang out and relax in the backyard. Definitely a good buy!

This was a surprisingly heavy condensed package to receive. It also comes so tightly compressed that when you cut the bag to let the air in it makes a huge hissing sound. I love it when it does that lol. There’s just something about seeing something go from so small to big. What’s really nice is it comes in a double layered sealed to avoid accidentally cutting into the pillow. No need to cut anywhere near the pillow. ,you just cut the outside of the plastic and the air will seep in through. Caution though when it’s expanding because there is a really strong chemical smell right away.The feel of the material is very unique . It initially almost feels like a cross between paper and a soft waterproof material. I know that sounds strange, but it’s very different. What’s also interesting is that after it aired out for a few days the material didn’t feel as papery, but reminded me more of a thinner version of a waterproof horse blanket. I used to own. I ’m really pleased with it and anticipate it’s going hold up really well to mold(which is a problem where I live).One thing to be careful of if you have super sensitive skin like I do is not rubbing your hands on the material too much right out of the bag. I made the mistake of doing that so I could describe how it feels, but then my hands started stinging from interaction with the dye or chemicals. (After it aired out for several days rubbing it didn’t create any stinging sensations).I recommend following the instructions of putting it in the dryer for the 10 minutes and then let it sit in the sun for a couple days to air out and come to full-size.Once fully unpacked It’s a super dense pillow. It’s comfortable to sit on, but you will initially feel the lumps under your butt from where the cushion buttons are indented. Once it’s been sat on several times this evens out more and what’s nice is It doesn’t sink down too much when you sit on it giving you just the right amount of support.Its a beautiful color . A really deep navy blue. One disappointment I had with this was that width of the larger size that I ordered was supposed to be 59 inches long, but unfortunately it was 56.5 inches long. It was already a tad short for my swing so that different 2 inches was not a welcomed surprise. The other dimensions, 5 inches high by 18 inches wide were spot on .The other issue is there are no tie straps to keep it from sliding off the swing. I know that can be a hit or miss whether or not cushions come with those, but when you have a slicker waterproof material such as this, it would’ve been a good idea. I plan on sewing on a couple.I think the biggest pros is just how solidly stuffed this is. I’ve never seen a pillow this firmly stuffed with this much support. It’s comfy and I can just imagine curling up on it to read a book. It also has piping stitching around the outside that seems pretty solid.With how I review things, I always ask myself when reviewing items if I had bought this for the listed 47 without any discounts, would the cons be enough to return it? Since I received this product free with only tax income considerations, this helps me to keep perspective and write a sincerely honest review as a fellow buyer. In this case, because the dimensions were not accurate and with my swing being longer to begin with, I would have. Barring that, the pros would’ve had me keeping it.

Wonderful cushion for a black bench!

Came compressed. But not fluffed up to 3inched thick. Took over night. But fit on our bench great. Very comfortable. There are no straps for securing in case of high winds. But very satisfied
