Very pleased with the knife very well constructed very sharp. Very easy to use. Feels good in your hand when the knife is in the she feels good in your pocket. Looks good. Wherever you have it stored you can’t go wrong. It’s a bench made very pleased and would definitely recommend.

It is very durable. I got this recommendation from a friend and it has worked great for me. the small handle makes it very easy to carry and conceal. So far so good!

This is THE solution for a last ditch, get the F off of me weapon for cops and soldiers who wear external body armor with MOLLE. I put mine behind the center compartment of a triple pistol magazine pouch. Fits in there TIGHT - you'll have to work at it for a couple of minutes to get it in or out, but it will stay put. Only the ring portion will show. No one has yet asked, "Hey, what's THAT?" Accessible with either hand if anywhere on the front of your armor.High quality, as you'd expect from Benchmade. Important: this is NOT a KNIFE. Only about the last inch of the blade is sharpened. I tried to sharpen the rest. I imagine that it could be done, but it'd take more work than I'm willing to put in. This is a DAGGER. You use it for poking holes, not cutting. But it's rock solid in the hand with a finger through the ring, and should be able to poke holes quite effectively, efficiently and repeatedly if need be.,Once again, this is not a knife. It will not replace what you're currently using to cut rope, seat belts, flex cuffs, etc. You will not open boxes with it. You could probably use it to open mail, but not terribly well. What it WILL do is seriously deter an assailant from continuing to try to hurt you or take your primary weapon to hurt you. Said assailant may or may not recover from said deterrence, and you obviously won't be taking them directly to the jail.Training and policy adherence are your own responsibility.

I ordered this as an off-hand fixed blade defense knife in case I had to create distance before deploying my handgun.Pros:- Quality finish is even and pleasant to touch.- Point is SHARP. I don't think it'll have any trouble penetrating if the need arises.- Fits the hand pretty well.- Sheath clip and retention is excellent.Cons:- Expensive. Other than the brand name I can't imagine what would cause this knife to cost this much. It's 440c Stainless Steel, so it's not some expensive, exotic steel they have to drill out of a comet.- A little longer than I'd like. I tried to use this IWB, but I couldn't find any comfortable position where it wouldn't jab or poke when I sat down. It ended up being clipped inside my pocket next to my EDC light. A shorter overall length might fix that, but it's really just my personal preference.- No edge to speak of. I know this is a stabbing knife, but they ground down the two edges to look like they're sharp. They aren't. I know that's by design, but I still think it would be nice to have a bit of an edge toward the top.Overall I'm glad I bought it. This is pricey enough that I don't know if I'd recommend it to a friend who asked. I like it a lot, but I may keep shopping to see if another off-hand knife fits me better. If this were a $40-50 knife I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, but at $90 it's a little tough.

I absolutely LOVE this knife! I originally saw this style of blade design made by spartanbladeusa.com, and really wanted to get it, but I couldnt justify the price they were asking. Later, I became super excited when I saw that benchmade had the exact same blade (same guy behind both companies) at a much more reasonable price, and ordered it immediately. I own several benchmade knives and always am impressed with their sharpness, quality, and especially customer service/warranty repairs and indeed reccomend them to many friends/family members.In regards to this specific dagger, this is a fantastic self defense/quick deploy weapon. Its always good to have a folding/everday use all around utility knife, but when it comes to self defense, you need something that you can get out to the ready position QUICK without even having to think about it or fumble around with. This knife can be placed in a variety of places (my personal carry spot is inside my waisband in between the button and front pocket, which lets me easily and comfortably draw with either hand) and the ring is a huge benefit to this design. Not only is it comfortable to hold with the thumb or the index finger thru said ring, but it provides a super secure grip thatll ensure it doesnt go anywhere. My favorite feature of this ring is that, if you have a ccw or are open carrying a pistol, once you create space from an attacker you can draw and have a proper grip on your firearm while still holding the knife, therefore maintaining constant control of all your weapons without compromising your grip/safety. As other reviewers have stated, the blade itself is not sharp at all, but then again, its not supposed to be. This is a stabbing/penetrating weapon, NOT a slasher/cutter, and although the blade can easily be sharpened, the point it comes with is already exceptionally sharp and will easily penetrate even heavy clothing. One last note, the friction lock with the sheath is awesome, and even after many draws/resheathings of the blade, theres no wobbling or loss of retention of the blade, even when held upside down. This is definitely another win from benchmade and I 100% recommend it, which I lead by example with as this is now my primary carry blade for self defense purposes.
