Here in Western Washington, the rainbow trout snap at these mice tails quick and hold.

These work well for catching trout. I use these when I want to keep fish ONLY. I rig these with an egg sinker, swivel and a small hook(small enough to float with mousetail on) using the drops shot rig. Cast out and leave alone in lakes, like fishing with a worm. Have caught a lot of trout with these but they swallow them almost every time so usually they become keepers.

been using them infrequently for over a year. they do not get hard and stiff. Still catch panfish with regularity.

it is an excellent plastic bait for trouts., in addition to powerbait dough or night crawlers. It does last for a while before it has to be replaced.

They work but like any lure or bait depends on the fish. I like having them in the box in case Nothing else is working. #1 trick I do with them is take a small rubber band and put white sparkley fluff to them. Makes a world of difference. Purple fluff also works well. The fluff is for tying fly's, but every bait and tackle has it. You can also get it on Amazon of course. Peace.

This is a monster of a lure for stocked trout fishing. Trout absolutely love this bait. It works exceptionally well in clear water. It does have trouble floating on its own, so dead sticking it might not be an option. It is a must-have in your tackle box.
