First, the superficial stuff. We all know that this stays in your mouth or pocket at all times, so the color of the call means absolutely nothing. So, it shouldn't matter if this is camouflaged or not. But if the camo pattern is what you were looking for (maybe you have a ton of brown calls and you want something you can ID with just a glance) this isn't going to be the call for you. Just know that the color will not be camo. I think they discontinued that color a few years ago.This isn't the only reason a dropped a star though. Like most calls, this one deteriorates pretty quickly. This might depend on the user but I will only get one season out of this call. The rubber diaphragm between the colored material inevitably pulls out the side and into my mouth. It would be a big issue but I find this happens with most mouth reeds and it's actually worse with others. So, it's a good call. My go-to call actually. It could be better though. And I kind of wish they brought back the camo ;)

this reed works great for me if I want a big, mean, bellowing bugle. not so much if I want a cow call or subtler sounds. price isn't bad, jury is still out on longevity of call.
