I have an above ground pool and a new hot tub and I know filling them with this filtered water helps make it easier on the use of chemicals. Very haopy the quality and water quality from the Filter.

These water filters are remarkable little product and have up to the RV water filter game. Having some pretty harsh water in Arizona and for the most part, the southwest where we travel, I’ve always been concerned about the quality of the water in our tank. Let alone the water that we intake in our body.I was using a different brand and after I changed it to this, I can taste a considerable difference in the water. It wasn’t as harsh as it was before. I’m not sure if it’s just because of the other brand or because the other one need a changed. But this is definitely my new go to. I have noticed that it doesn’t last terribly long, and I was easily changing the filter after about a month time. But I’m not sure if that is related to the quality of the water filter or just the harshness of the water in Arizona. Other than that for this price point I’m not terribly mad.

So I used to buy the more expensive version of this to use on my hose for washing cars. But this one specifically called out that it was good for car washing. So while I don't need the extra filtering for consumption purposes, I want the sediments and such filtered out for the hard water stains left on my car. This did the trick! It's pretty much on par with the more expensive ones in terms of the water spot reduction. I always make sure to store these in the fridge after each use so that the sun here doesn't bake it to oblivion in a couple days. It also ensures the slowing of bacteria forming inside of it. I've been using it for over a month and after a few car washes it's still holding up! Packaging was a bit flimsy but I wouldn't worry about it being damaged during shipping. The box does look like it should be tasty with the pretty colors! Maybe time to refine the box, keep it looking clean and not from the 90's.

Glass pictured on the left is from this filter hooked up to outside faucet, after running for one hour. Water still cloudy, but not as clean as my house water on right side glass with a 5 µm filter but we did have a good flow out of it.

We use a RV, Marine or basic filter when filling the water holding tank on our boat. Our marina has heavily chlorinated hard water and this helps filter scents, taste and micro things out of the holding tank water. We do not drink the water on our boat. We do bathe, brush our teeth, clean dishes and occasionally cook with the water. We have an ice maker to fill the coolers and I feel the filter is good to prolong the life of the ice maker. I just can't trust the 24 year old holding tank for drinking so I can not comment on the flavor. This filter was priced on the higher side for one filter, I usually buy an economical 2 pack which last us about a year. It hooks up to our hose and the flexible extension is handy if you do not have one. These are a must have for marine and RV water tanks. I like that it at least removes chlorine from the water as we shower ourselves, the dogs and do laundry on our boat. It's suggested to replace every three months, we usually get about 6 months out of a filter, we drain it and store properly between filling our water tank. It's simple to use, attach to your potable water hose, attach the flexible fitting and insert the flexible end into the holding tank access. I highly recommend using a filter because you just never know what impurities are in the water and you do not want that in your water tanks. PS we add a 1/8 cup of bleach occasionally to our holding tank then flush the tank. This helps kill bacteria, the filter helps keep the tank from impurities, it does not soften the water.
