There was a hole in the bottom of the pot so it was leaking out of the bottom and I had to return it ! Metal shavings inside and sharp edges

Look at the construction. Of course there’s gonna lopsided distribution. There’s no regulation so almost nothing comes out of one side. No obstruction or defect. I modified mine because I’m an engineer and a coffee spaz, and it’s awesome now, but that’s as expensive as the unit for most people. Hard pass unless you’re in love with the porcelain mugs, which are really nice. Bialetti makes normally excellent products, btw. I have a collection. All modified or finished by hand for improved performance and function. It’s just something I love and it’s cheaper than cars and stereo equipment.

Just follow the instructions and you will be fine. Most notably: put it on your smallest burner, the flame should not be bigger than the base of the coffee maker. In my case the coffee is ready in a bit less than two minutes.

The package arrived quickly, but none of the items were secure in the box, they were all loose and rattling and one of the cups was chipped! This is sad because it is a cute design, and I can't wait to load it with espresso. Had all the items been secured this would likely be a five star review.
