They worked well for my project. They were a bit larger than I expected so I had to use washers on my screws, but that's probably a good idea anyway. They are matte black, they don't look amazing but they're not meant to be seen so no complaints there. Pretty good value for the money spent.

These a pretty thick, thick enough that I could MIG weld them to a piece of angle iron for my project.

Needed shelf brackets with 8mm diameter hole. These fit the bill. The extended length on one side, making them adjustable and providing more surface area for shelf support was a welcome bonus.
