I bought my son a rear rack and panniers for his bike without realizing that his bike lacked mounting points on the frame. This clamp was quick and easy to install. It took the place of the quick release clamp which originally held the seat post in place, and it included the bolts for attaching the rack stays.

Three months in, bolts and clamp seem solid and durable. I torqued the clamp-bolt to 10nm without breakage or metal fatigue. Five stars so far!

I use this to support the rack on my commuter bike. It's been about 1000 miles so far. The seat is clamped properly and the rack is securely supported.

Strangely, wife’s bike didn’t have bosses built into the rear triangle for racks, panniers, fenders, etc…. This quick and inexpensive solution worked very well!
