You won't be able to sharpen the continuous blade they wrapped. Not square, not round ha. Works for the home warrior. Not a professional level.

It did not make a clear helpful mark on even my softwood door. Every time The handle is hit to make a mark, the striking handle rotates and unscrews. Have to stop after every strike and re-tighten, very annoying and not sure how much this had to do with the poor marking ability.

I like this tool a lot it saves time. you don't have to mark latch with pencil . I have an older version. it was just worn out. Great tool if you install a lot of door locks or one every now and then.
