Smaller than the measurements stated. Very heavy for a bike.

This basket is very well made and sturdy. It can be mounted in either direction and a removable liner that is very nicely made. A fantastic addition to any bike that should serve you well. Highly recommend.

I'm very bummed as I won't be able to have this on my bike all the time. The issue, and something I kind of figured I'd run into, is that the bike lockers at the train station are tight as it is. You back the bike into a wedge shaped enclosure and so it narrows on the back wheel. I worried about this when I picked it up and a quick ride there to test confirmed. Now onto the product review. I'm really happy with this basket. It is well built and the term "heavy duty" would be a fair claim in their product description.Assembly was pretty straight forward but something you'll need to sort out for yourself as there are no included instructions, which kind of surprised me as I can't remember a product I've gotten recently that doesn't have some level of literature with the product. Pretty straight forward so I sorted it out. I decided to mount this inline with the bike for the reason of making it as narrow a profile as possible with hopes that would allow me to get it into the locker. The way this attaches is by placing some metal straps on the underside of your rack and then running bolts through the basked and the brackets. My first attempt was to place these perpendicular to the bike and realized that wasn't the best approach, so, flipped them to be inline with the basket. When clamped down one end of the bracket did bend but that's of no consequence and this may vary depending upon the rack you attach to. Be sure you put the washer on the head end of the bolt, not the nut end. Once attached this wasn't going anywhere.Other items of note, the padded liner is quite well built and holds it shape on its own. It attaches with velcro straps and that is quite secure. I didn't try putting anything in it of any size larger than the basket, so, not certain how much the bungie net will stretch but seems like it will stretch enough for most contents. I would like to have seen more clips on the net and in a bit different arrangement but I have no doubt that the net will remain secure if there is some pressure against it from the basket contents.Overall this is a great bike basket and the price seems competitive. I have no reservations recommending this and which it was permanently attached to my bike. I'm going to see if I can come up with a quicker way to mount it (wing nuts?) so I can use it for errands.
