I am a lifelong cyclist, I've even spent some years working on bicycles professionally. I have never, never, never ever, seen some handlebar tape show up without the extra pieces to go around the brake levers. This is a wildly accepted industry standard practice. The alternative is to provide so much access tape one can cut off the pieces needed. This company did neither. This tape is long enough to wrap old school narrow road bars, not modern wide dirt drop style bars. I picked this up for back up or for options when I go to wrap some bars as I like to switch it up sometimes. This tape will be used for small sections, aero bars, touring bars, as there isn't enough to properly wrap proper road bars. Otherwise it's as decent as any other cheap tape.
