The hardware is NOT overly strong : it probably will bend, if lifting an Electric Bike. It holds a standard Mountain Bike just fine, but is somewhat difficult to raise the bike to the ceiling : I doubt that a child could raise a heavy bike. A Good Value for the money.

If you look at the image close you will see one bag of ten screws. You need ten screws for each pulley. Annoying when you’re in the middle of the project. I had a set of anchor screws so not a problem.

This is the second time I've putchased this item and it's a good product.THIS time I used it to store my electric Snow Blower (35 Lbs). Product lists 100lbs and I'd only get close to that weight if it was attached to beams.NOTE I only used 1 side of the pulley system since I needed to keep it narrow.

The product was easy enough to install, the brake system for.the cord worked well, screws are horribly cheap and the drywall mount things are hopeless. They all went into the garbage. I used my own screws and it worked much better

The Instructions are limited. Per photo the instructions are diagrams only. However the diagrams were easy to follow. I did not use their mounting hardware. I felt the mounting hardware was not as strong as it needed to be to hang the bikes from the ceiling over my new car.I mounted pulley brackets on a 4 foot long 2x6 board using 1 58” screws. I mounted the 2 x 6 boards to the ceiling trusses with 4 inch construction screws.When measuring the distance from back of bike seat to center of bike handlebars add another inch on to each pulley placement so that your lifting forks are not directly above the seat or the handle bars. You want a little wider measurement on your lifting pulleys and hooks so that it is easier to raise and lower your bikes. This is shown in the direction sheet photo attached. Hardest part of the installation was making sure you are mounting this into the ceiling wood trusses and not just into the drywall board only. Use a stud finder!

I run a shop in a busy suburban area. I was tired of locking my bike out front as theft is always possible even with a decent lock. Plus it's nice to keep the bike inside in bad weather. Whenever I brought my bike inside, it always got in my way as I don't have much storage room. Fortunately the shop has a 14' high, exposed ceiling. The exposed ceiling made installation easy but I had to buy my own installation material (a few inexpensive bolts and washers). If I had a drywall ceiling, I would not have used the included screws as they seemed to be pretty short. Luckily I was working with steel struts. To install the lift, I ran bolts through gaps in the steel struts and secured bolts with hex nuts and washers. It only got easier from there. I just ran the included rope through the pulleys and that was it. The mechanism is easy and idiot proof. Just hook the hardware to your bike and pull it up. Like venetian blinds, the rope locks itself if you pull out on it. Pull in and it unlocks. It's perfect for my needs. My bike weighs less than 50lbs and I use it 2-4 times weekly. If the lift were used more often or for a heavier load (I think it's rated for 140lbs.) I would probably get a better rope, but so far so good. I have had it for about a month.

There were no installation instructions. Thankfully UTube recognized a need and had instructions for this specific product.Once up it works very well!

This works great and is a simple install for anyone that has done much DIY. I personally was not comfortable just using their hardware in a garage ceiling with dry-wall. I opted for some heavier screws that went into the stud. I honestly just used two heavy screws into the studs and avoided adding anything else (your all). Don't expect much out of the instructions. It was pretty simple overall and works very well. It took longer getting out the ladder, marking the studs than actually installing. I had no issues and everything went together on the first try (seldom event for my DIY efforts). I didn't see how the two sides would balance out but it works very well. I have a tall garage and there is ample extra rope with no problems. I wished I had done this earlier.... so do it! :)

Works very well. It looks and feels very strong. The rope could have been of better quality. I don't feel comfortable with the original hooks and also ordered velcro hangers to be on the safer side. The front hook feels secure. But the rear one holding the saddle, I am not sure.
