Overall a good recording device but because it only connects through wifi it isn't very useful as a rear view camera if you still want to have an active internet connection

This little camera is awesome. I wanted a rear-mounted camera that streams to my phone without a bunch a wires to mount. I wanted good video quality as well. I have 2 dogs; so, I also wanted a way to keep an eye on them while in the pet trailer that I recently purchased. This was so easy to set up. It has all types of attachments, and best of all it’s compatible with all the Varia mounts. I’ll update if I run into any issues, but so far so good.

This review is for the Bike Rear View Camera with Tail Light.This bike camera is one of the few items that I’ve ordered that came almost ready to go. The camera only needs to be charged and mounted to your bike. A smartphone app can also provide more of the camera's features.The app you install on your phone is Viidure, and the camera pairs to your phone via Wi-Fi. While using the app, you connect to a Wi-Fi network on the camera to view and control it. However, you don’t have to use the app to use the camera. There is a record button that you can press to start the recording without messing with the app. The camera includes a 16Gb microSD card but can be upgraded to 256Gb. GPS and speed are derived from your phone sensors, but it has an accelerometer and microphone built into the camera.The use case for this camera is mostly for safety, but it may also be used for action shots while mountain bike riding. I live in a place that is fairly bike-friendly; however, the dangers on the road are still the same. It’s nice to have proof if something ever happened, and the camera could even give you a heads-up if you have a place to mount your phone.This easy-to-use camera is ready to go and is at a great value compared to similar bike cams on the market. I can't wait to get out this summer and make use of this camera!

Several attempts failed to power off/on and with the difficulty of powering it on/off, and one morning I walked by my bike (the camera installed on the bike the night before, powered off of course) I noticed the camera was recording. I tried to power it off, it finally powered off after several frustrating attempts). I went for a ride with friends two days later, the camera powered on with out a problem and during the ride, one of my riding buddies, mentioned that my has been camera powering on and off. This is not what I expected.So I decided to return it ........ I was thankful the seller provided a return label; return via UPS or USPS and if the postage is >$30 the seller must be notified. But here is the a shocker (I was not ready for since all of my Amazon purchases I dropped off either at UPS or Khol's), the return address is in China. Shipping it USPS is $32 but they won't shipped it with the battery (seller instructed it must returned with the battery in the camera) and >$100 if shipped thru UPS. The purchase and the return is quite disappointing.

Great bike cam. It streams to my phone so I don’t have to run any wires. It lights up I’m more visible at night. The camera allows me to see behind me for cars. If you don’t want to use the app, you can just hit record on the camera. It comes with a 16GB card. Overall I feel safer using it on my bike rides.
