Do Not Buy!This seat post bent after my 10th ride. The metal is too thin I am only 195 lbs - it bent just below the cross brace. I almost fell backwards off the bike.Great concept - metal too thin.Made in a foreign country? Maybe. The manufacturer wants to save money on materials.AVOID this one.

Bought this to give myself more knee room on my beach cruiser. Took it out for a cruise around the neighborhood and by the time I made it back to the house I was almost on the rear fender. It was installed past the minimum line but just with my weight (250) it bent on the first ride.

It let me stretch my old, stiff knee out. LoL

This post performed horribly! Started to bend after a couple of bumps. For the money don't even consider buying it! It bent so bad that it was difficult to uninstall.

I purchased a noseless bike seat (which is great) but since you are sitting directly on your glutes you end up sitting closer to the pedals. This post allowed me to move the seat back, and, so far so good. I did ride a lot with the noseless seat and it was not until I added this post that my ride felt truly comfortable, due to the correction of the pedal-seat angle. I have just used it once; it it ever breaks I will update this review.

Great for extending your pedaling range without raising the seat. My seat post was ridiculously close to the handle bars. I used the unsupported drop back post first then tried this one. it does not go down as far as the unsupported its a bit to high on my bike but doable . I use a cut off straight section of old handle bars to reinforce the post. i am over 200 lbs.

I used this seat-post (Brand: Alta) about a dozen times before a bump in the road bent it severely, rendering it useless. Thankfully, I was close to home, since I am disabled and cannot walk distances. I bought a second nearly identical post from amazon (Brand: Generic) and noticed the bracing was improved. Same seat-post now corrected. This post is recommended for BMX bikes. That is a catastrophe waiting to happen.
